सुप्रीम कोर्ट की मुख्य याचिका १०३/९ के अंतर्गत एक अंतरिम आवेदन प्रस्तुत किया गया जिसमें यह मांग की गई कि सोडी संबो को छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार द्वारा दिल्ली लाया जाए। तथा दिल्ली में उसे पुलिस से मुक्त कर पद्मभूषण श्रीमती मोहिनी गिरी द्वारा संचालित महिलागृह (Women's guild) में रखा जाए। उसे पुलिस द्वारा दिए गए दबावों से उबरने के लिए कम से कम एक सप्ताह का समय दिया जाए. और उसके बाद मोहिनी गिरी की उपस्थिति में आवेदनकर्ता व उनके वक़ील उनसे बात कर सकें. इस पर अदालत ने कहा कि आवेदनकर्ता किसी डिस्ट्रिक्ट जज से सोडी संबो का बयान दर्ज करने के लिए कह सकते हैं। कोर्ट ने छत्तीसगढ़ सरकार के वकील से कहा कि सरकार अदालत के आदेशों को उल्लंघन करने की कोशिश न करे। और उन्होंने पूछा कि आखिर यह छत्तीसगढ़ में हो क्या रहा है।

Allow lawyer to meet witness in AIIMS: court

NEW DLEHI: The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Chhattisgarh government and the Centre not to create any obstacle to activist Himanshu Kumar or his advocate meeting Sodi Sambho, an injured witness to the Gompad killings (mystery surrounds the killing of nine Adivasis in the village in October last), undergoing treatment in the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here.

Sodi Sambo disappears

Kavita Shrivastava just informed us of the following court order.

Court Order

Petitioner Number 1, Himanshu Kumar and/or his lawyer be allowed to meet Petitioner Number 13, Sodi Sambo in AIIMS. Chhattisgarh Counsel can be present, but police presence will not be allowed. The Chhattisgarh state should file a reply in 10 days on the original petition filed on 23rd Oct 2009 and related to the killing of 16 people during the Operation Greenhunt, that took place in the village of Gompa, Gachhanpalli and others, as well as on the interim application filed on 12th relating to the disappearance/illegal detention of the other 11 petitioners.

 

We just learned that Sodi Sambo was discharged from AIIMS, and we do not know her whereabouts. We are going to inquire the doctors at AIIMS and we will file another application in the court asking Sodi Sambo's whereabouts.
