This India is the India of shopping malls, of Special Economic Zones, of ever-increasing consumption, of fast growing GDP, the India of rich and beautiful people rubbing shoulders with the 'best' and the 'brightest' of the world, the India where the 'free' market ideology reigns supreme. This website is not about this glitzy India. This website is about the India inhabited by 90 % Indians. It is about their struggles against the depredations of predatory corporations greedily eyeing and ravaging their land and their only means of sustenance. This website is an attempt to expose and indict a reactionary and collusionary state, which has not only receded from its primary responsibilities of providing a dignified living for each of its citizens, but criminalizes any attempts by its citizenry to resist its brutal onslaughts.
