Unofficial Translation

In an application filed under the main petition 103/9, it was demanded that Chhattisgarh Government should bring Sodi Sambo to Delhi, and that she should be freed from the clutches of the Police and be allowed to stay in the Women's Guild, run by Padma Bhushan recipient Mrs Mohini Giri. The application also demanded that Sodi be given a week to recuperate from the mental trauma and relentless police pressure that she has been undergoing, and after that applicant and his lawyer should be able to talk to her in presense of Mrs Mohini Giri. The Court responded that the applicant(s) can ask any district judge to register Sodi's statement. Court also warned the Chhattisgargh Government through its Counsel not to violate any of its orders. The court also expressed outrage over the machinations of the Chhattisgarh Government.

In the second half, the Chhattisgarh Police fabricated an elaborate drama to discredit the applicant. They presented a so-called Naxalite and putting words in his mouth, tried to show why the applicant was not to be 'trusted'. This was done to save themselves embarrassment in the face of their rapid reversal of fortunes in the Sodi Sambo case.
